There is
more than one
meaning.
You say “literally”
and mean
“figuratively.”
There is
a realm outside of our own.
A
separate plane of existence where
words
slide and shift, blue is an emotion,
blue is
a color, Blue is a record,
Somewhere
there is a woman with
splinters
in her fingers. She makes the meanings,
takes
the words and stretches them,
washes
them,
duplicates
them once,
twice,
three
times.
There is
no word in English
that can
describe the way that an artist
loves
his painting,
or the
way that a mother loves her child.
Describe
yourself in one word. Loquacious,
trustworthy,
fun, shy, glamorous, a-tea-drinker,
quirky
because you take one word and make it three,
untouchable.
Less-than, voiceless,
unimportant,
marginalized, more-than-a-hierarchy,
more-than-words.
This is one of my favorite things i've ever read <3
